Why do tsunamis occur after some earthquakes, but not others?

Could Yellowstone cause a super eruption? What would be the consequences?

This introductory course will provide an overview of earthquakes and volcanoes, emphasizing scientific understanding and risk mitigation. The class is designed for non-major undergraduates and potential earth scientists, and requires only pre-calculus math.
